Enter the home, draw and away odds for a football match and your stake. The calculator works out the Draw No Bet and double chance odds and shows what each bet type returns whether the home team wins, the match is drawn or the away team wins.

Returns include your stake. Green is a profit, gold is your stake back, red is a loss. Draw No Bet and double chance odds are worked out from the 1X2 odds you enter; your bookmaker’s own prices may be slightly higher or lower. For information only. 18+.
Draw No Bet vs double chance vs a straight win bet
These three bets let you back the same team with different levels of protection:
- Straight win (1X2): the highest odds, but you lose if the match is drawn.
- Draw No Bet: lower odds, but you get your stake back if the match is drawn.
- Double chance: the lowest odds, but a draw counts as a win as well.
The more protection you get, the less the bet pays. The calculator shows exactly how much less, so you can decide which suits the match. Want to check a multibet with Draw No Bet legs? How the odds are calculated
Draw No Bet = win odds × (draw odds − 1) ÷ draw odds. Double chance = 1 ÷ (1 ÷ first odds + 1 ÷ second odds).
How to use the Draw No Bet calculator
- Choose your odds format: decimal, fractional or American.
- Enter the bookmaker’s odds for the home win, the draw and the away win.
- Enter your stake in rand.
- Compare the Draw No Bet and double chance odds with a straight win bet, and see what each one returns if the home team wins, the match is drawn or the away team wins.
Example
Kaizer Chiefs are 2.20 to beat Orlando Pirates, the draw is 3.10 and Pirates are 3.40. Draw No Bet on Chiefs works out at 2.20 × 2.10 ÷ 3.10 = 1.49. A R100 bet returns R149 if Chiefs win, R100 back on a draw and nothing if Pirates win. Double chance 1X is 1.29: R129 back if Chiefs win or draw.
Frequently asked questions
Should I take my bookmaker’s Draw No Bet odds or build it myself?
Compare them. If the bookmaker’s Draw No Bet price is higher than the calculator’s figure, take it. If it’s lower, you can get the same result by splitting your stake between the win and the draw, as the calculator does.
Is double chance or Draw No Bet better?
Neither is better in general. Double chance wins more often but pays less. Draw No Bet pays more but only refunds you on a draw. If you think a draw is likely, double chance is safer.
Can I use Draw No Bet in a multibet?
Yes, at most SA bookmakers. A drawn Draw No Bet leg is usually treated as void, at odds of 1.00. Check the payout with our multibet calculator.
